Customer interviews are still one of the best ways to understand a market. But once you need to spot patterns across hundreds or thousands of conversations, interviews alone are not enough. Reddit can be a goldmine for that kind of research. The problem is that most of the data is noise, and handing it directly to an AI agent usually gives you an expensive summary of a distorted picture.
So instead of asking AI to do everything, I built a simple research pipeline. Scripts collect the data through the API, remove spam, duplicates, and irrelevant discussions, then organise the useful signals by topic, sentiment, product, and competitor. It runs overnight and delivers a clean, indexed research layer by morning. The AI works with the distillate, not the landfill, and every conclusion can still be traced back to the original source. That is the real value: not another clever prompt, but a repeatable system that turns messy public data into better business decisions.
P.S: Used it to research a personal safety topic, what people think, what do they use already? Especially traveller, or families with kids, or someone who live by themselves, or (maybe) VIPs who want to be more discreet.
