Privacy policy
Awrns ("What Are You Doing?", package com.awrns.app) is a small utility app. This page says plainly what data exists, where it lives, and what leaves the phone. The short version: nothing leaves the phone. The app does not hold the Android internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere.
What stays on your device
Everything you put into Awrns stays on your phone:
- Your check-ins - every answer to "what has your attention right now?", with its time and event.
- Your event list, schedule, and all other settings.
This data is stored in a local database on the device. There are no accounts, no registration, no cloud sync, and no server behind the app.
What we collect
Nothing. The app collects no data at all, and it is not able to.
Awrns declares four Android permissions: post notifications, schedule exact alarms, receive boot completed, and vibrate. All four are needed to ask you a question at the right time. The app does not declare the internet permission, so it has no network access whatsoever - not for analytics, not for crash reports, not for anything else.
There are no third-party SDKs in the app: no analytics, no advertising, no attribution, no crash reporting. There is no advertising identifier and nothing is sold or shared.
The beta wait list
The wait list form on the Awrns page is the one place an email address is asked for. It is separate from the app: the app cannot reach the network at all, and it never sees the address.
What happens to it: the address is sent to a Cloudflare Worker, which forwards it to the author as one email through Resend. No database, no mailing list, no analytics attached. The address is used to send a beta invite and to answer you, and nothing else. It is never sold or shared.
To be taken off the list, write to mak.golub@gmail.com and the email holding your address is deleted.
Deleting your data
Use "Delete all data" in Settings to erase every check-in and setting from the device. Uninstalling the app has the same effect. Because no copy was ever made anywhere else, that is the end of it.
